Boston Police say one person is dead and four others were wounded in an early morning shooting on Blue Hill Avenue near Mattapan Square on Saturday (June 27). Police came to the scene after a ShotSpotter activation around 1:45 a.m.
According to a BPD account: “Upon arrival, officers located two victims suffering from gunshot wounds in the area of 1439 Blue Hill Avenue. Two more victims, suffering from gunshot wounds, were located in the area of 1460 Blue Hill Avenue where one of the victims was pronounced deceased. The three remaining victims were transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“Additionally, a fifth victim self-applied to a hospital outside of the city where he was then transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
