A 24-year-old Boston man was ordered held without bail today after being charged with murder in the July 5 shooting death of Travis Washington near 500 Blue Hill Ave., according to Suffolk District Attorney Kevin Hayden.
Catrelle Davis, 24, was arrested Tuesday and arraigned in Dorchester Municipal Court.
Prosecutors said Washington, also 24, was standing with a group of people in Grove Hall during Independence Day weekend celebrations when he was shot in the early-morning hours. Washington was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Davis is due back in court on Sept. 22 for a pre-trial conference.
