Boston firefighters responded to 359 Geneva Ave. in Dorchester shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday for what turned into a three-alarm fire that spread to the neighboring three decker at 355 Geneva Ave., just a few feet away.
The Boston Fire Department reports both addresses suffered “significant damage.”
The department says “upwards of 37 people” have been displaced and that the number could wind up higher, since officials have yet to contact everybody who might live there.
The fire is the second three-alarm three-decker fire in Dorchester over the weekend. On Saturday, a vacant three decker on Savin Hill Avenue went up in flames.
