Boston Police arrested a third suspect sought in connection with a May 12 shooting on Dacia Street in Dorchester that left one of the alleged gunmen wounded and several nearby homes and a parked vehicle damaged by gunfire.
Dacorsey Washington, 21, of the South End, was arrested without incident on Monday at a residence in Brockton, police said. He faces firearm, ammunition, assault and unlawful discharge charges.
Officers responded shortly after 1:20 a.m. on May 12 to reports of gunfire near 25 Dacia St. and found numerous shell casings, blood trails and ballistic damage to homes and a vehicle. Police said no residents were injured.
Surveillance footage showed a BMW SUV pull into a shared driveway between 25 and 33 Dacia St. Three men allegedly exited the BMW and opened fire toward a Jeep as it fled. Police said Washington was struck by gunfire from one of his own companions during the exchange.
The BMW was later captured traveling directly to Boston Medical Center, where Washington was dropped off with a gunshot wound. Two other men fled the vehicle on foot, according to police.
Tyrus Farrell-Woodson, 24, of the South End, was arrested on the night of the shooting. Chivaughn Nettles, 21, of Fenway, was arrested May 22 at his Huntington Avenue residence after investigators obtained arrest and search warrants.
Police said a search of Nettles’s home recovered an empty ammunition magazine and other evidence connected to the shooting.
Washington had remained at large since Roxbury District Court issued a warrant for his arrest on May 21. All three men now face multiple firearm and assault charges.
