The powerful storm that hit overnight into Wednesday morning caused widespread power outages and other damage across much of southeastern Massachusetts. Unfortunately, the storm impacted the facility where the Dorchester Reporter is printed, resulting in a delay that will impact this week’s distribution to stores and subscribers.
The Reporter was printed on Wednesday afternoon thanks to a big assist from our colleagues and friends at the Boston Globe, who arranged to have the job done at the Globe’s printing plant in Taunton, Mass. The newspaper is now being circulated in the neighborhood to our usual locations across Dorchester and Mattapan. However, subscribers who get the paper in the US mail will likely still see a 1-2 day delay.
