The Boston Police Department reports arresting Dayanna Familiar, 35, on a manslaughter charge after a medical examiner concluded her 4-year-old daughter died Aug. 17 from ‘acute fentanyl intoxication” in their Fuller Street apartment.
Police say officers and Boston EMTs and paramedics found the girl, identified by the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office as Liyanna Bautista Familia, unresponsive when they arrived at 200 Fuller St., near Milton Avenue, around 8:50 p.m.
The girl, in cardiac arrest, was transported to Children’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Familia is scheduled for arraignment on Monday in Dorchester Municipal Court on charges of manslaughter, possession of Class A drugs, destruction of evidence and intentionally misleading an investigator in a criminal investigation, police say.
Police obtained an arrest warrant on Oct. 16, according to court records. Police say the fugitive unit arrested Familia on Eastbrook Road in Dedham on Saturday morning.
