

The newly-painted mural pairs Dorchester’s iconic gas tank, historic Boston Light, and city skyline with John Gilroy’s “Lovely Day for a Guinness,” along with nods to publican Oran McGonagle’s Donegal roots.

Presented by Meet Boston in partnership with the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism and new sponsor Toast, Dine Out Boston allows diners to visit their choice of 200-plus participating restaurants for special menus, promotional deals, and prices.

A group of parents with children at Dorchester’s Mather Elementary School have delivered a 160-signature petition to Boston Public School officials calling for urgent steps to cool the 121-year-old school building, which lacks air conditioning.

About 130 athletes will compete in the event organized by Head of the Charles Regatta.

The event, organized by Build Together, Epiphany School, Melville Park Neighborhood Association, St Mark’s Area Civic Association, and Greater Ashmont Main Streets, will take place from 1 to 4 p.m.

Last month, a few of former ‘GBH “Zoomers” were back together, at an event hosted by The Record Co. on Morrissey Boulevard.

Barbara A. Dulin is a mother of three, grandmother of ten, and a great-grandmother of fourteen. The Grove Hall native is also a mentor and maternal figure to scores of other young people thanks to a non-profit she founded in 2014
