Marr-lin Swim Team Hosts South Boston
The Marr-lin Swim Team hosted the South Boston Club for their second home meet of the month of January. Thanks to a number of outstanding individual performances, the team managed to capture all five age groups. Summer Jobs Program for Teens
Members of the Club age 15 to 17 are reminded that the City of Boston’s HOPELine for Summer Jobs will soon be accepting registrations. Beginning on 2/1 the web-based portion of the registration will begin and remain in effect 24 hours a day through 3/4. Interested members can visit bostonyouthzone.com and click on the summer jobs link. For those unable to register on-line phone-in registrations will be accepted on Tuesday, February 22nd (10:00 to 2:00), Wednesday, February 23rd (10:00 to 2:00), Thursday, February 24th (10:00 to 2:00) and Friday, February 25th (10:00 to 2:00) at (617) 635-HOPE. Candidates registered on the HOPEline are eligible for a position but not guaranteed. Spots will be offered based on the funding available. Over the next several months the Teen program will be working with members age 14 to 18 seeking employment in the summer through the Boston Youth Fund, Boston Private Industry Council, A.B.C.D., John Hancock Scholars and the Summer of Opportunity program to name a few.
