On 12/12 we will be holding registration for the Winter session of the Arts and Athletic programs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Art Program will be registering new and returning participants for our Winter Fine Arts classes. There will be 10 classes in total, offered weekday afternoons, broken down by age for members ages 6 to 12. During the break between our Fall and Winter Fine Arts classes we will be preparing works created by members over the past year to be placed into Boys and Girls Clubs of America’s National Fine Arts Competition. We will also continue our weekly sessions of evening programs for teens as well as offering a variety of drop-in Art classes. For more information on the upcoming registration please contact Arts Director, Donna Seery at ext. 1320. Meanwhile, our Winter Basketball season is just around the corner and the Club will be offering Clinics, Intramural leagues and All-Star teams for members to participate on. The Clinic and Intramural programs will accept registrations on 12/12 from 10:00 to 3:00. This year the Intramural program will offer a Boys Low Rim league on Thursday afternoons for players between the ages of 8 and 11, a Girls Low Rim league on Friday afternoons for players between the ages of 8 and 12 and a co-ed 14 & under league on Saturday mornings. All three leagues require a current membership and a completed registration form. There is no cost to participate and all players registering on 12/12 will be placed on a team. All players registering after this date will gain spots on a first come, first serve basis until all spots are filled and will be required to pay a late fee. In addition to the Intramural leagues there will be two clinic programs offered, one for 6 & 7 year olds and a second for the participants in the Low Rim Leagues. Both clinics will be offered weekly on Saturday afternoons and will attempt to teach the fundamentals of the sport.
