Boston's Race to City Hall

12 candidates, each determined to make it through the primary election on September 24, are what remain after 24 sought to win a nomination on the ballot to fill the seat of incumbent Mayor Thomas Menino. The diverse field of candidates, made up of City Councilors, State Representatives, organizers, activists, non-profit leaders, and small business owners, are featured in the newest Boston Neighborhood Network Television series, “Meet the Next Mayor”.

Meet The Next Mayor presents an incisive look into the lives and campaigns of the 12 candidates seeking the top seat at City Hall. The series of brief profiles was created to promote and foster informed citizenship, civic engagement and social empowerment. The objectives and benefits of this timely programming reflect BNN TV’s history of keeping Boston residents educated in matters that impact our community.

“The 2013 mayoral race is an historic moment for the city and people of Boston who haven’t elected a new mayor in 20 years”, says BNN TV General Manager, Curtis Henderson. “The 'Meet the Next Mayor' series is the perfect opportunity to learn about the vision each candidate has for our city, and BNN TV is proud to offer this resource.”
