#BosMayor Round-Up: Oct. 30, 2013

6 days to Nov. 5. State Rep. Marty Walsh will pick up the endorsement of Mel King, the former state representative who ran for mayor in 1983. King had endorsed TOUCH 106.1 FM's Charles Clemons in the preliminary. City Councillor At-Large John Connolly will also be holding an endorsement event with women in business and civic life. Joined by his wife Meg, Connolly will outline proposals supporting women workers and business owners.

ABOUT LAST NIGHT, ROUND 3: The Herald's take on the final big debate before next week's election: "Mayoral rivals trade jabs over ads, dance around casino stance." The Globe sums it up with this sub-head: "Connolly, Walsh rip each other’s background but align on big issues."

SUPER PAC'D: While most of the focus last night was on the debate, Boston magazine's David Bernstein was breaking news: "Both John Connolly and Marty Walsh call on all outside independent expenditure committees spending in support of their campaigns to disclose identities of all individuals or entities who have contributed $1000 or more to their committee." That comes after a mysterious ad buy made by a Roslindale woman who started a political action committee called "One Boston."
