A winter storm that could dump more than a foot of snow on the city has prompted Mayor Walsh to declare a snow emergency beginning tomorrow at noon. The order includes a parking ban on emergency arteries in the city, including Dorchester Avenue and Columbia Road.

"I am urging everyone to be ready and prepared for tomorrow's forecasted snowstorm," said Mayor Walsh. "All of our residents and workers should take precautions on our roads and sidewalks, particularly during the Monday evening and Tuesday morning commutes."
