Boston Police attached to the Drug Control Unit, working with the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force and the DEA, executed a court-authorized search warrant today at an apartment at 20 Kerwin St. in Dorchester following what police described as a lengthy undercover investigation.

Edgar Baez-De La Rosa, 38, of Weymouth, was arrested and is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on multiple trafficking charges.

Officers entered through the rear of the building and took the sole occupant—identified as the target of the investigation—into custody without incident, according to a BPD account.

A large amount of cash was seized along with approximately 150.9 grams of fentanyl powder, 813.1 grams of cocaine, about 1,720 fentanyl pills (191 grams), and roughly 1,600 methamphetamine pills (480 grams).

Police also recovered digital scales, multiple cell phones, identification documents, and packaging materials consistent with drug distribution.
