Fields Corner is set to turn into a bustling open-air street festival again this month as Boston Little Saigon hosts its annual Night Market/Chợ Đêm on Saturday, July 18, from 4 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The free event will take place along Dorchester Avenue between Gibson and Adams streets, with Town Field Park serving as part of the footprint for the evening’s entertainment, food, and games, according to organizers.

The celebration has become one of Dorchester’s signature summer gatherings. Last year’s Night Market drew an estimated 16,000 people, according to organizers, filling Dot Ave with food vendors, performers, families, and visitors from across the city.
The event includes heavy doses of Vietnamese American culture, from traditional dance and lion dancers to street food, K-pop, break-dancing, hip-hop, and a chicken-wing eating contest sponsored by Pho Hoa Restaurant. Local favorites included meat skewers, corn on the cob, boba and sugar cane drinks, banh mi, and egg rolls, with neighborhood businesses such as Coco Leaf, Thai Oishi, Ba Le, and others helping anchor the event.
This year’s flyer again bills the evening as a mix of “entertainment, food, games,” with free admission. Sponsors include Eastern Bank, Novo Marketplace, the Vietnamese American Community of Massachusetts, Vu & Rosen CPAs, Pho Hoa Restaurant, Harbor Health, the City of Boston, and the Dorchester Reporter.
