“I stand on bridges built by those that came before me and so do all of us,” he said. “At VietAID we focus on issues big and small – anything that affects quality of life in our Vietnamese community and in Fields Corner. Is this the only community we are serving? How are we showing up for our Black and brown neighbors too? We know we have more to do and are committed to doing it together…The question for tonight is how we reach beyond our bridges. It’s not a question we can answer alone.”
