A multi-jurisdictional police pursuit of a suspect vehicle ended at the Boston-Milton line in Lower Mills late this afternoon with one reported arrest.

Boston Police say the investigation remains active, but preliminary information indicates the pursuit was a response to a possible domestic incident between parties known to one another.

About a dozen police vehicles from Boston, the Town of Milton, and State Police converged at the intersection of Eliot Street and Adams Street, just beyond the Roper bridge that carries Adams Street over the Neponset River. Two police vehicles had pinned the suspect vehicle— a white Mercedes Benz sedan— at the corner by a traffic light just after 4 p.m. The incident unfolded over about 15 minutes with officers heard on the police scanner tracking the vehicle from Dorchester to Milton and back towards the city.

The incident brought traffic to a snarl on both sides of the river, but the scene cleared around 4:50 p.m. when a tow truck hauled the Mercedes from the scene.
