Busway opens at Ashmont

The month of September has brought some significant changes at the Ashmont T Station. While construction continues, the temporary bus stops on Dorchester Ave. were discontinued after workers completed paving a multi-lane busway adjacent to the station. The T has scheduled a “diversion of service” this Sunday, Sept 13, with Red Line train service shut down all day between Ashmont and JFK/UMass. Bus service covering Ashmont, Shawmut, Fields Corner, and Savin Hill stations will operate for the day along Dorchester Avenue.
