The Boston Fire Department reports firefighters responded to 141 and 145 Howard Ave. around 7:30 p.m. on Friday for what turned into a three-alarm fire at the two closely spaced houses.
Some 30 residents – 21 of them children – got out safely, the department says, adding one firefighter was injured.
