A person was shot at the Mobil station at 783 Blue Hill Ave. at American Legion Highway around 5:15 a.m. on Friday.
Boston Police Department officers who initially responded to the station on a report of a fight between a man and a woman found no victim but did find blood and a spent shell casing – the victim and several women raced up to a Boston trauma center for care. A suspect fled the scene in a separate car.
The BPD homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim’s injuries.
The shooting was one of five across Boston Monday morning; one, in Ramsay Park in Roxbury, was fatal.
