A pair of developers have filed plans to replace a two-family house at 2062 Dorchester Ave., just north of  Gallivan Boulevard in Dorchester, with a four-and-a-half-story, 20-unit apartment building. The proposal, by Fernando Dalfior and Brad Cangiamila, which also envisions a roof deck, calls for just five parking spaces as they note that the building is directly on several bus lines and a half-mile walk to the Ashmont T stop.

The building, which will require variances from the Zoning Board of Appeal, would have mainly one-bedroom units, with some studios and two-bedroom spaces. The filing with the Boston Planning Department does not specify how many units would be affordable, but city regulations would require that at least four units be rented as affordable.

Dalfior and Cangiamila bought the building for $900,000 in 2022, according to Suffolk County Registry of Deeds records.
