A gas station on Morton Street that is slated to house a five-story residential building has been sold for $6 million, according to public records. The Puma Express service station at 841 Morton St. near its intersection with Norfolk Street was purchased last month by a limited liability corporation controlled by Ghassan Audi, of Westwood, who bought the site from Akmal Moawed, of Moawed Properties LLC.

Audi, who also operates numerous gas stations in the Greater Boston area, did not respond to a Reporter inquiry about his plan for the property: Keep the gas station operation or move forward with the permitted development project?
The Boston Planning Department’s board approved a project advanced by Moawed in January 2026 that includes a 52-unit, mixed-use residential building.
According to the Secretary of State William Galvin’s office, Audi also controls other gas stations in the area, including Stop N Gas on Gallivan Boulevard and Express Gas at Neponset Circle – as well as stations in Quincy, East Milton, Newton, and Stoughton.
