The Boston Public Health Commission (BPHC), the Friends of Boston’s Homeless, and the Mayor’s Office are asking residents, businesses, and community organizations to donate new winter coats through early February for the city’s homeless.

The coats can be purchased through an Amazon Wishlist or shipped directly to BPHC’s Woods Mullen Shelter. Large donations of new coats can also be dropped off at the shelter, 794 Massachusetts Ave., on Thursdays from noon to 2:30 p.m.

The annual drive has collected approximately 400 coats each year over the past four years. BPHC’s Homeless Services Bureau serves nearly 5,000 people annually through emergency shelter, transitional programs, and housing assistance.

Community groups and businesses are encouraged to organize their own coat drives. For donation details, visit boston.gov/homeless-services.
