Summer Program Complete – The Club’s Summer program is now complete as the 2nd of our two off-site trips has returned. In addition to our day-time program, the Club hosted the 25th Anniversary of the Safe Summer Streets program for teens. The on-site program concluded on 8/13 and was followed by the 9th Annual Camp Northbound trip to Maine for 150 members. That was followed by the 23rd Annual Rodman Disney for Kids Trip to Disney World. This past week 150 members and chaperones enjoyed 5 days visiting the various theme parks in Orlando. Our thanks to Don Rodman and all of the supporters of this wonderful event. The Club will re-open to after-school, drop-in membership programming the week of 9/8 on a 2:00-6:00 p.m. schedule.
Please note that our Licensed After-School program will remain in operation while the drop-in program is in recess. Also, a reminder that all 2013-2014 school year memberships have expired and participants will need to secure an updated membership. The membership fee will remain at $5 for the year. Registration for Fall programs will take place on 9/8 & 9/9 at 6:15 p.m. Please note that members 12 & under wishing to stay after 6:00 p.m. will need to be registered for a program. Fall Media Arts Program – This Fall, members ages 10-12 will have the opportunity to take part in drop-in Photography, Film & Video Classes in the afternoon. Our evening classes (pre-registration required) will include Beginner, Intermediate & Advanced Photography, Short Films, “How To” Videos, the Club News Team, Music Videos, and the Film Club.
