BFD’s aerial team wows kids at the Mather School

Dorchester’s Mather School was buzzing with excitement on Fri., Oct. 10, as students gazed up to the sky to watch the Boston Fire Aerial Team display death-defying stunts one after the other on Meetinghouse Hill.

Fire officials used the performance as a way to remind students about key fire safety rules: there are two ways out, change smoke detector batteries annually, and use proper wiring when plugging in devices.

Students hung on to every word and enjoyed every minute. To make things even better, the Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) joined in on the festivities and provided every Mather student with a water bottle to drive home their ‘Drink Water’ campaign. Students collected water bottles stickers and hand sanitizer while they marveled at the aerial show less than 20 feet away from the schoolyard.
