Boston Police are investigating the death of a man who was apparently struck and killed by a pick-up truck in Uphams Corner on the afternoon of Wed., Dec. 31.

According to a police report, an adult male victim was found laying on the ground at the corner of Dudley and Belden streets around 2:35 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Firefighters from Engine 21 were first on the scene and were treating the man with “unknown injuries.”

The victim was rushed to Boston Medical Center and was pronounced dead at 3:44 p.m.

Homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene.

The suspect vehicle— a 2020 white Chevy pick-up— was towed to Boston Police headquarters. The names of the victim and driver have been withheld by authorities to date, but the report said both were “known to the Commonwealth.”
