With the regular season of the Intramural League complete, the play-off tournament was held over the past two weeks with the semi-finals played last week followed by a thrilling championship game held last Saturday. In the semi-final games, the opener saw Inter Milan, behind the scoring of De’Andre Dew-Hollis (3 goals) and Luis Rodriguez (1 goal) defeating Celtic F.C. by a score of 4-1. Jahliel Holley (1 goal) provided the offense for Celtic F.C. In the second game Manchester United defeated F.C. Barcelona by a score of 3-1. Eben Butler (2 goals) and Aldo Fernandes (1 goal) led the offense for Manchester United while Walter Dew-Hollis (1 goal) led F.C. Barcelona.

For the semi-final games the Defensive Player of the Week Awards go to Ivanildo DeMoura (Celtic F.C.) and Carlos Robalo (F.C. Barcelona) while Eben Butler (Manchester United) and De’Andre Dew-Hollis (Inter Milan) were declared the Offensive Players of the Week.

The championship game was a thriller with Manchester United coming away with a 4-3 victory. Brothers Isaac Butler (3 goals) and Eben Butler (1 goal) provided the offense for Manchester United while De’Andre Dew-Hollis (3 goals) scored for Inter Milan. Isaac Butler (Manchester United) and Le-Zhan DosSantos (Inter Milan) were voted the Offensive and Defensive Player of the Game respectively.

Congratulations to all four teams on another great season. Meanwhile, our All-Star team, which competed in the N.E.N.E.A.P.C. league has wrapped up play as well. Hoping to repeat as league champions for a record fourth consecutive year, our Stars opened the play-offs with an exciting 5-3 win over the South Boston Boys and Girls Club. Siblings Walter Dew-Hollis (4 goals) and De’Andre Dew-Hollis (1 goal) led the team’s offense, propelling them into the championship game against the Watertown Boys and Girls Club. In the championship game, the streak would come to an end as a talented Watertown team captured a well-deserved 5-0 win and the 2011 championship. Congratulations to our stars on a great season.

Intramural Swim League Championship Meet
The six-team Intramural Swim League completed its season with the championship meet held last Saturday during our Triple Play festivities. The championship meet provided several close races but in the end the Stingrays proved too strong for their five opponents by capturing the 2011 championship. The final point totals were as follows: Stingrays – 144, Barracudas – 140, Dolphins – 135, Sandsharks – 96, Kat Fish – 89 and Piranhas – 52. Members of the Stingrays were: Eva Gannon, Thomas Flaherty, Aine Curran, Gerard Gannon, Alessandra Krejci-Papa, Serena Krejci-Papa, Pennie Sullivan, Aidan Sullivan, Jasmine Burgos, Teresa Flaherty and Michael McNeil.

Next up, members of the Marr-lin Swim Team will compete in the Bay State Games. At the same time, we have begun accepting registrations for the Summer Swim Team. The Summer Swim team will be open to any member age 6 to 18 who can complete a 50-yard swim. Team practices, held on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings will begin on Tuesday, July 5. Keystone Club News
The members of the Keystone Club, our teen leadership development group club, have enjoyed a busy Spring season, recently taking part in Boston Shines, holding their Annual Spring Clean-up and assisting at the Triple Play Field Day event. Upcoming events include volunteering at the Massachusetts Special Olympics at Harvard Stadium on June 18, a group outing to Six Flags Amusement Park on June 25 and the third annual “Opportunity for Community” event on July 9. On this day Keystone members hope to bring together local residents to support organizations in need. Keystone members will be holding a Blood Drive with the American Red Cross, hosting representatives from the Organ Donor and Bone Marrow registries, as well as collecting items for our troops overseas and canned goods, books and coin donations for local non-profits.

Other upcoming summer events include an inter-club service project with Cradles to Crayons, a night of service at The Greater Boston Food Bank and hosting a 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament for participants in the Safe Summer Streets Basketball League.
