Those interested in running for former City Councillor Chuck Turner’s District 7 seat are able to pull papers. Here’s a list of those who have as of this afternoon.
(But first, a couple of caveats: They have to gather 191 signatures. So this is a list of folks who’ve pulled nomination papers, and therefore are interested. It does not necessarily mean they will make it to the ballot for the Feb. 15 preliminary and March 15 special elections. Also, just because a person’s name isn’t on the list doesn’t mean they’re not running. They have until Dec. 27 to pull nomination papers.)
Abdillahi Mash Abdirahman of Roxbury
Anthony Baker of Roxbury
Lee Buckley of Boston
Natalie E. Carithers of Dorchester
Althea Garrison of Boston

David James Wyatt of Roxbury
Historical note: There were around 13 people who ran last time the seat was open. (District 7 Councillor Gareth Saunders stepped down.)
