Man gunned down near Marshall Elementary School

Boston Police report a man shot at Bowdoin and Westville streets shortly before noon has died.

The victim, identified only as a 23-year-old black male, died at Boston Medical Center.

Police briefly locked down the John Marshall Elementary School as police searched for a possible shooter, described as a black male, 5'10", wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and a baseball cap.
