Bloody holiday weekend: Twelve shot, three dead

The Boston Police Department is investigating at least twelve shootings over the holiday weekend in Dorchester and Mattapan, including a fatal double shooting on Columbia Road early Monday and a triple shooting Sunday night on Norton Street near Bowdoin Street that left one man dead.

Police report two people found in a car at Columbia Road and Wyola Place shortly after midnight, Monday, were pronounced dead.

The shooting began around 5:30 p.m., Friday, when a man was shot at 12 St. Clare Rd.

Around 7 a.m., Saturday, a man was shot in the leg at 42 Fuller St. About 90 minutes later, another man was shot at 117 Bowdoin St.

A man was shot around 1 a.m., Sunday, at Harvard Street and Ridley Road.

Around 10 p.m., Sunday, three men were found shot on Norton Street. One of the victims died, the other two are reported in stable condition.

About a half hour later, a man was shot at Morton Street and Blue Hill Avenue. He was taken to Carney Hospital in stable condition, police say.

Around 11:30 p.m, Sunday, a man was shot at Talbot Avenue and Washington Street; taken to Carney Hospital in stable condition, according to police.

Some 20 minutes later, somebody was stabbed in the back at 975 Blue Hill Ave., taken to Boston Medical Center in stable condition.
