Firefighters knock down four alarm blaze on Park Street

The Boston Fire Department responded to a four-alarm fire at 93 Park St. in Dorchester early Wednesday afternoon.

Firefighters knocked down the blaze just before 1:50 p.m., according to fire officals. They responded to the Fields Corner three-decker at 1:20 p.m., where there was heavy fire visible on arrival.

The three-family apartment was vacant on the top floor, and five adults and one child occupied the bottom two floors, according to Boston Fire Department spokesman Steve MacDonald.

No injuries were reported, fire officials said.

The Fire Chief estimated damage at $400,000.00. The Red Cross was called to assist the five displaced adults, fire officials said.
