Treadmark opens sales office

Trinity Financial and Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty celebrated the opening of a new sales office for Treadmark, an 83-unit mixed-income, mixed-use development now under construction across from Ashmont station, on Sept. 14. The reception welcomed local community members and brokers to view designs for the new building, which includes 51 affordable rental units and 32 ownership units designed by celebrity firm Taniya Nayak Design. The team of agents for Gibson Sotheby’s includes Tim Deihl, Kerry Dowlin, and Leslie MacKinnon.

Treadmark, which sits across the street from Trinity’s successful mixed-income, mixed-use building, The Carruth, Trinity is also working to secure American Provisions as the ground floor retailer. A meeting is planned to discuss the store concept next Wed., Sept. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at All Saints Church.

The sales center for Treadmark is located at 1908 Dorchester Avenue in The Carruth Building. Work on the Treadmark building— which is expected to be completed by the summer of 2017— began last spring with the demolition of the former Ashmont Tire buildings. The development won approval from the Boston Redevelopment Authority in 2015 following a rigorous review process. The planning agency estimated that the project will cost $40 million to complete with 72 construction jobs expected to be generated by the work.

According to the BRA, the housing will include a mix of studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments. The top floor will house 17 loft style units, and a small 1,400 square foot roof deck will be available to residents.
