Dorchester 18-year-old arrested for Boston Common stabbing

Police arrested an 18-year-old man in Dorchester in connection to an early evening non-fatal stabbing in the Boston Common in late July.

Victor Carrasquillo, of Dorchester, was apprehended at about 6:15 a.m. Monday morning and booked at C-11 headquarters at 40 Gibson St., police said. He is charged with armed assault with intent to murder.

After a fight inside the downtown park, a man was found stabbed at about 5:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, police said. The adult male victim was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

Carrasquillo was identified as the suspect after an investigation and taken into custody without incident by Boston Police Fugitive Unit. He will be charged in Boston Municipal Court.
