I-93 north and south off-ramps will also be closed during these times

The drawbridge over the Neponset River on Granite Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic during overnight hours on Sunday, August 12, as well as Monday, August 13, according to a statement from Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT).

Exit 11B on I-93 southbound and Exit 11 on I-93 northbound will also be closed and detour routes will be in place during the same time frame— which is 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. each night. According to a MassDOT spokesman, "Crews are carrying out minor structural repairs and doing steelwork on the moveable span of the bridge."

"These traffic impacts are necessary to allow crews and contractors to safely and effectively make repairs to the bridge," the agency said in a press release on Thursday.
