St. Christopher’s now a chapel of St. Teresa of Calcutta parish

St. Christopher parish, home to Catholics on Columbia Point and environs since the mid-1950s, was officially merged into St. Teresa of Calcutta parish on the first of July, according to an announcement by Cardinal Sean O’Malley that was passed on to parishioners last week.

St. Teresa of Calcutta parish now has two worship sites, St. Margaret’s church at Dorchester Avenue and Columbia Road and St. Christopher’s church on Mount Vernon Street.

Each of the churches will maintain its regular Mass schedule.
