UMass Boston convenes Harborwalk ‘conversation’ on Tuesday

On Tuesday, March 5, community members are invited to participate in a conversation via Zoom about the potential sites for new signage along Dorchester’s section of the Boston Harborwalk.

At the meeting, graduate students from UMass Boston’s public history seminar will partner with Friends of Boston Harborwalk to research and create a plan for visual displays along the coast.

The Harborwalk is a near-continuous, 43-mile linear park known for connecting people to parks, museums, beaches, and community establishments. But it also connects residents and visitors to the vibrant history of the city.

Through this community conversation, the UMass Boston students hope to better understand the meaningful places and stories attendees share and where they exist along the waterfront.
