Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids Program

Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids Program - The Boys and Girls Club is pleased to announce that we have been selected as an official partner of Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids, an annual giving program from Payless ShoeSource. Although studies show that properly fitting shoes are important for children’s health and development, a striking number of children don’t own a pair of shoes that fit. This is the seventh year of the Payless Gives Shoes 4 Kids program, and our third year as an agency partner. We are among hundreds of charitable agencies representing all 50 states as well as Canada, Puerto Rico and 11 Latin American countries. Our thanks to the staff at the Upham’s Corner and Field’s Corner locations for thier assistance during the campaign.

- During February and part of March, teen members are encouraged to register on the Boston Youth Fund website for the City’s Summer Jobs program. Teens ages 15-18 can go on-line at bostonyouthfund.org to register. Please note that registration does not guarantee a position. In addition, the Club will be partnering with the Department of Youth Engagement & Employment to host a series of Job Ready classes in the early Spring. The 6-part series is open to members ages 14 - 18 and requires pre-registration. For more information please contact Nate Roos (nroos@bgcdorchester.org).
