Mayor Thomas Menino launches an iPhone application, reported earlier this year in the Globe, that gives residents a "direct connection" to City Hall over requests and complaints. City Councillor At-Large Michael Flaherty visits with Jamaica Plain seniors and heads to Chinatown for a forum. Earlier in the day, Menino had been at Suffolk University and Flaherty had met with South Boston seniors.

Mayor Thomas M. Menino will launch the City’s first-ever iPhone application that provides residents a direct connection to City Hall for requests and complaints regarding all issues, ranging from potholes to fallen trees and graffiti. The application is part of the new “Citizens Connect” suite of online services that constituents can use to report a problem or to pay taxes or parking tickets.
