Cops, businessman praised for Adams Village drug crackdown

The Adams Village Merchants Association joined with two civic groups last Friday to honor the Drug Control Unit from the Area C-11 Boston Police and a local businessman who they say have effectively teamed up to crack down on drug dealing in the neighborhood. Jeff Brewster, who became the franchise owner of the McDonald’s on Gallivan Boulevard last December, was praised alongside the seven-officer drug unit during an evening awards ceremony inside the Transformations health club in the village. Warrant search yields gun stash at Morton Street home

Boston Police relay news of a weapons cache that was seized during a search of a Morton Street home by the B-3 Drug Control Unit on Tuesday (May 12). An 18 year-old man was arrested and faces a series of drugs and gun charges.

Shootout probe leads to arrests in Savin Hill

Nearly a month after an evening shootout sent bullets buzzing through a typically peaceful Columbia-Savin Hill sidestreet, Boston Police returned to the scene last night and arrested two men while executing a search warrant.

Ten indicted in Franklin Field crack cocaine case

An eight-month undercover investigation by District B-3's Drug Control Unit and the FBI has yielded 10 federal indictments and three Suffolk County arrests, all related to the distribution of crack cocaine within the Franklin Field housing development. Many of those arrested were also involved in a street gang based at Franklin Field that has a long-standing and violent beef with youth from the Franklin Hill area, prompting the investigation.  Read more
