A three-alarm fire that broke out around 3 a.m. on Tuesday at 40 Westwind Rd. left an elderly man dead and sent four residents and one firefighter to the hospital, the Boston Fire Department reports. Read more

Two-alarm fire on Quincy Street displaces ten

The Boston Fire Department reports a two-alarm fire called in around 4:45 a.m. at 487 Quincy St. did an estimated $200,000 in damage.
Eight adults and two children were displaced, but no residents were injured. The cause is still under investigation.

Early morning fire displaces 10 in Fields Corner

The Boston Fire Department reports a three-alarm fire at 3 Robinson St. broke out shortly before 1 a.m. Saturday, March 5, did an estimated $500,000 in damage and sent one firefighter to the hospital with a shoulder injury.
None of the ten residents in the house were injured, but the Red Cross was called in to help find them places to stay.

A fire that raced through a three-story, two-family home at 5 Page St. late Tuesday afternoon left nine people without a home.
The Boston Fire Department says a short circuit on the first floor caused the fire, which resulted in an estimated $400,000 in damage.
