Argument led to Monday night stabbing at South Bay Target

A fight inside the South Bay Target led to two women being stabbed inside the store early Monday evening, Boston police said.

The altercation took place inside the Target store, with a man and a woman attacking two women following an argument just before 6 p.m., Boston Police Spokesperson Jimmy Moccia said. It was not clear if the assailants knew the victims before the incident, Moccia said.

By the time Boston police responded, the parties had been separated and the two suspects fled in a black vehicle. Boston police had no information about the suspects, but Moccia said it was likely security camera footage would be used to identify them.

The two women were transported to Boston Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. The popular Target store remained open during the entire incident, according to an employee contacted by the Reporter on Monday night.
