Red Line service between Kendall/MIT and JFK/UMass stations will be replaced with shuttle bus service beginning at 8:30 p.m. on July 10 and stretching through July 13 to allow for maintenance work. A second closure on the same section is also planned for July 17-20, according to T officials. Free shuttles will make all stops between Kendall/MIT and JFK/UMass with the exception of Park Street.
Orange Line service will be also suspended between Wellington and Back Bay during the weekend of July 26 – 27. Local shuttle buses will make all stops between Wellington and North Station.
“This maintenance work will address routine needs, ensure that all infrastructure is in peak operating condition, and includes inspections, adjustments, and repairs.,” a T spokesperson said.
