A third-floor fire at 849 Cummins Highway went to two alarms not long after firefighters arrived around 6:25 p.m.
One firefighter suffered minor burns, the Boston Fire Department reports, adding the Red Cross is assisting seven residents to find a place to stay tonight.
The department estimates damage at $250,000; says investigators are now looking for a cause.
