WCVB reports police on Sunday identified the parents of a toddler found alone in a Mattapan playground Saturday evening but that that state child-welfare investigators are now looking at what happened and are keeping the boy in their care.
The Boston Police Department said Adriel, a boy believed to be two or three who was found alone, on a red tricycle at Ryan Playground, 310 River St. in Mattapan around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.
As of early Sunday afternoon, nobody had reported a missing toddler.
Police and Boston EMTs who responded gave him over to DCF for care.
