Three men were arraigned on murder charges Wednesday in Suffolk Superior Court in the fatal shooting of 41-year-old Shawn Borden on Dorchester Avenue last October.

Borden was gunned down near the corner of Dot Ave. and Mather Street on Oct. 18. He suffered several wounds and later died at a Boston hospital on Oct. 25. Police arrested Tyshawn Sanders, 19, in connection with the case last November. Two additional suspects— Tysawn Cummings and Jamari Manning, both 22, were arrested last December.

All three were indicted by a Grandy Jury. Each faces charges of first-degree murder, unlawful possession of a firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm. Sanders faces additional charges of unlawful possession of a firearm and carrying a loaded firearm after he was found with a different gun on Nov. 4.

According to prosecutors, Borden and members of his family were outdoors on the afternoon of Oct. 18, when a gunman approached on foot and fired multiple shots, striking Borden. Prosecutors allege that Manning drove a rental vehicle to the area with Cummings and Sanders, circling the block just prior to the shooting. Sanders allegedly exited the vehicle at the corner of Mather Street and Dorchester Avenue and walked toward Borden’s location, where he opened fire. He then fled to the waiting rental vehicle.

Surveillance camera images, GPS data, and other evidence place the three men in the area of the shooting at the time it occurred, prosecutors said.
