A man was indicted in June for the November 2016 homicide of 28-year-old Dantley Leonard in Dorchester, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office.
Officials announced on June 30 that 24-year-old Julian Troche was indicted by a Suffolk County Grand Jury on charges of first-degree murder, armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and unlawful possession of a firearm in connection with the shooting that claimed the life of Leonard – a Kingston resident – and injured a second man.
Boston Police responded to the area of Ames Street inside the Franklin Field housing development at about 4:46 p.m. on Nov. 12 and located two men suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, prosecutors said. Both victims were taken to area hospitals, where Leonard succumbed to his injuries.
Troche has been held without bail since Nov. 17, 2016 in connection with a June 18, 2016 homicide. He is awaiting trial in murder of 31-year-old Andrew Flonory in a shooting that also left a second man injured. According to prosecutors, Troche opened fire on the men as they approached a party on Astoria Street in Mattapan. The case is pending in Suffolk Superior Court.
His arraignment for Leonard’s murder has not yet been scheduled.
