A Dorchester Avenue bar and restaurant is the target of a lawsuit filed by a national outfit that says the pub needs to pay up for its use of recorded music. The American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP) says the Harp & Bard is one of ten venues across the country that they are suing to enforce music licensing laws.

According to ASCAP’s Stephanie Ruyle, Harp & Bard has refused to pay for a license that many other establishments buy annually for the right to play music.

The Reporter attempted to reach the bar’s owners, but were unsuccessful.
