The annual Mayor’s Coffee Hour series rolled into Ronan Park on Wednesday, June 22, for free coffee, lots of swag, the annual potted plant give-away, and a chance to meet City officials and key City department leaders.
This Coffee Hour focused on mid-Dorchester and drew in community leaders and residents from Fields Corner, Bowdoin-Geneva, Meetinghouse Hill, and other locations.
Mayor Michelle Wu made an appearance and addressed the crowd, with Councillors Brian Worrell and Frank Baker also making comments as well and visiting with constituents. Numerous city department were on hand, as was the Mayor’s Mural Crew – who had just started work last week. The Crew created a quick piece of art during the Coffee Hour to commemorate the time.
The next Coffee Hour in the area is on June 30 at Walker Playground (also known as Norfolk Park) in Mattapan. Seth Daniel photos
