Electa Sevier, a Jamaica Plain resident with decades of non-profit experience, has been appointed interim executive director of the Lena Park Community Development Corporation by a reorganized board of directors.

“I’m honored to join Lena Park CDC at such a pivotal moment,” Sevier said in a statement. “I’ve been deeply inspired by the commitment of the board and staff and the enduring strength of Lena Park’s mission.

“There’s a strong sense of possibility here, and I’m excited to work alongside this dedicated team to help fortify the organization’s foundation and shape a vibrant future of service to the community.”

Veronica Williams and Curtis Santos, the board’s new co-chairs, announced the appointment.

Said Santos: “Since stepping into the role of co-chair last year, I’ve witnessed firsthand the incredible potential of this organization to transform lives and uplift entire neighborhoods. This new leadership is more than a transition—it’s a launchpad for innovation, equity, and deeper community impact. Together, we’re building a future where Lena Park doesn’t just serve the community—we grow with it, lead with it, and thrive with it.”

Sevier has served in leadership and consulting roles across more than 40 nonprofit and community-based organizations. Her previous positions include Founding Executive Director of Mothers Out Front and Director at Case Associates. The mother of adult twins holds an MBA from Yale School of Organization and Management and a bachelor’s degree in Comparative Religion from Harvard College.
