“Neponset Day provides the local community with an opportunity to enjoy the beautiful riverfront in their own neighborhood,” said Andres Ripley, Greenways Program Director.

“So much work has gone into cleaning up this river and making it more accessible,” he noted, “and while there is still plenty of work to be done, it’s important to celebrate how far we’ve come and to give people a stronger sense of ownership and belonging along the Neponset.”

Some of this year’s free offerings include science exhibits, kayaking on the river, kids’ games and activities, music, food trucks, and ice cream.

The event is sponsored by ENE Systems, Paddle Boston, and Synergy/Neponset Landing. For more information, reach out to the Neponset River Watershed Association Greenways program director, Andres Ripley at ripley@neponset.org.
