Bethel Tabernacle Pentecostal Church celebrated the completion of a 20-year mission to convert the former St. Leo’s campus into its own expansive service center and worship space.
The annual Neponset Day festival on the banks of the Neponset River last Saturday morning and afternoon at the Neponset II Park on Hill Top Street brought out a large gathering to enjoy a great summer day.
The free, family-friendly festival will feature canoeing and kayaking on the Neponset River, along with food trucks, live music, children’s activities, environmental exhibits, and other attractions.

Tom McKenna and Mary Dyer will host a Meet & Greet on Thursday, July 30, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Eire Pub, where attendees can meet both writers, purchase signed copies of their books, and reminisce about the neighborhood that inspired their work.
